Some ground rules.

These are set and enforced by the datasci.social moderators.

  1. Please don't be a jerk.
    We expect to treat each other respectfully.
  2. No racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, or casteism
  3. No incitement of violence or promotion of violent ideologies
  4. No harassment, dogpiling, doxxing, or impersonation
  5. No content that is considered illegal in Denmark or France
  6. No intentional sharing of false or misleading information
  7. Nothing NSFW (not safe for work)
    NSFW material includes sexually explicit or violent media.
  8. No commercial advertisements, unless permitted
    Accounts that want to make commercial advertisements must: 1) ask for permission from the moderation team, 2) not create more than one post per day that can be interpreted as commercial advertisement.
  9. Only human users
    No AI/LLM accounts that post by themselves. It is still allowed for a human to run an account with automated posts but such account holders must: 1) ask for permission before signup from the moderation team, 2) check "This is an automated account" in their profile, 3) not create more than one post per day, unless permitted by the moderation team.
  10. SIGN-UP for data scientists
    This is not a generalist server but for people working or studying in human-centric data science, broadly defined. Please register here only if that is the case. To get accepted for sign-up, specify your fit in the "Why do you want to join?" field.
